he's not retarted, the ones under the tree do look awasome!

It looks cool... but I wouldnt want them for a calander page. its just too many reflections, and too distracting.. The picture just looks way to busy, IMO.

you also should have kept into consideration the vertical shot... Youre going to want horizontal pics for the calander.

if you wanna throw together a calendar i can give you a million pics that have sweet cars but thats seriously why photography is an ART, because there's so much involved. does it look cool under the trees, yes. is that calendar/magazine worthy. no IMO. thats all im saying.

Mrs. Meenz28 08-08-2006 08:19 PM

well personally I dont agree with you since I am a photographer, it was just an artsy shot that we were trying, and it came out amazingly, now whether or not its calender worthy....who are you to day anything in regards to which pictures are and which arnt?

I'm just saying thats all.

I think part of the reason why people are saying that there's too much reflection is due to the fact that Grant's car is so Freakin Shiny!

I honestly haven't seen that much shine in a photo for a very long time, but, in some aspects.....I have to agree that a lot of these photos have SO MUCH reflection (whether it be off the car, or off the building behind it) that some of them could be considered a bit distracting. :ne_nau:

Not that they're bad photos in any way...(I happen to like most of them).......just that the current ones posted are either a bit reflective, or little more glare than what they may want. Why not try to find something a little more solid for a background, and possibly do like I had to do because of brightness......which was take some of them in the shade, or out of the direct sunlight? Just a suggestion, nothing more! :)

Actually my car sucks for taking pictures, unless it's cloudy out......then they look great! :D

anyone who thinks that pic could be in any serious representation of an organization or affiliation, is just wrong.lol. im sorry, car looks nice but trees and sunshine are your cameras worst enemy.

MeenZ28 08-08-2006 10:29 PM

I posted a few of them for concideration. I by no means insisted on the one under the trees. I think you're getting you panties in a bunch there Matt...

Mrs. Meenz28 08-08-2006 10:48 PM

thankyou grant, I agree!

69z-28 08-08-2006 10:50 PM

im just backing myself up is all. the one under the trees does not look awesome IMO and im sure many will agree. i understand tho, you just posted a bunch and thats fine i understand, i disagreed and wanted to back up what i thought tho. no big deal.

MeenZ28 08-08-2006 11:25 PM

Fair enough.

Some of us others are into photography also, and one thing you should really consider is constructive critisicm. Yes, its a kind of neat picture, but Arch hit a lot of it on the dot... Its distracting. You should listen to what peoples first insticts on it are becuase that is what people will be thinking when they see it. Personally, I think midday and glare are a photographers worst enemies, whereas my gf (who is a professional photographer) likes taking pics during the day with a star filter. Everyone has thier own style for taking pics, im not trying to rag on you or anything, but for a car calander where the main focus of the picture should be the car.. well, grants car just doesnt stand out in that picture. He has an amazing car, and if you were to take his car against a solid background or around sunset, then you have a photo of a bitchin car with a subtle surrounding. IMO the main task here is to make the car stand out above all, at first look at that pic it doesnt stand out like it should.

No hard feelings, Im just putting my standpoint, and a couple others into words.
