Toyota MR2 :-D
Nissan 240sx (if you can find one that cheap :/) a subaru much like the one i was going to get ($350) i would try to stay away from domestic cars at that price. |
at that price your going to be buying someone elses problems no matter what it is (foreign the trans is going to be bad domestic it will use oil) look at the cavalier or sunbird from '91 to '94 with teh v6 they had the 3.1 and ran pretty good (stock hypereutectic pistons and are rebuildable) most domestic 4 cylinders can't be rebuilt (.030 is the throw away oversize anything more than a slight hone it's garbage)also most cars in the low price range will be a little older, and usually not as well cared for

You need to invest at least 3000+ to get a good DD.
|
ya 3 gs sounds like a good starting price for somethin descent but u might get lucky and find somethin cheap and good, maybe like a civic or some ****
|
Sounds lame but look for a Geo Prizm. VERY reliable and gets insane gas mileage and are really cheap.

my dodge is only worth about $1000 dollars, and its a great little car, good little daily driver. It has a few tiny issues(it is afterall an 89) but its good car, and a good runner, and its a turbo ;).
You know what else gets good gas mileage, but is a goofy car? A Ford Festiva. My dad had one as a work car a good while back and that thing got unbelievably awesome gas mileage. But is was so unbelievably ugly. |
get some more money and you could have my trans am :)
Get somethin cheap yet reliable, my friend just sold his 92 civic for 1,000 it was in good condition |
