good deal or not?

I just went to see a Trans Am that this guy is selling.
Is a 1993 V8 automatic, but is more like a project car because it not running at the moment.
This guy got the car from a friend be he don’t have time to work on this car and not he never even pickup the car from his friend house.
The guys said it don’t have the starter. He said that the guys had just rebuilt the engine. “355”

And it has the front of a 98-02. But only the hood and one of the fenders is on it.
The other fender is also on the car but is not secure to it, and the front bumper is also on the car but also is loose.
On the back the wing need move a little to the back and is also loose. Rear bumper is loose from the sides.
The interior… well I think I will need to replace the seats because they are kind of damage.
The dashboard and the doors look in good conditions.

I ask him if the car was crash or something and he said not and from what I saw it didn’t look like it was crash. So I guess they just started the project and didn’t finish it.
He has the headlights for it but they are not install...I’m thinking is going to be hard to install but I’m not sure.
So do u guys think is it good deal? Price is $990

sounds like a good project if hes telling the truth about everything, but i dont think he would sell it for only 990 if the engine was just rebuilt and all the parts are there and just not on, im not sure though all depends on if hes telling u the whole story or not

sounds not too bad. look underneath for anything goofy and pull the carpet back in the trunk and look for frame/chassis damage as well as under the hood, just make sure theres nothing fishy about it. good luck

miles? ask him if it has been kept up on maintenence. Hopefully hes honest.

under a grand if it's not rusty is ok, most rolling chasis with no engine or trans run about $500

If you are good with your hands and adapting things to work for you then go for it. Just don't expect perfection with a car that old and needing all that work.

I’m going to take my uncle to go see it, he is a Mechanic. So he can take a look and see if something is missing or something is wrong
If he say if that is a good deal then I take it…if I can I try to take some pics
Oh yes I going to look for the vin#
