got pulled today
 

My girl and I were coming back to her house from best buy when the local cop in a 05 mustang gt decides to pull me over. Apparently, my side windows are below the local law of 27%. they were 17%, which means the back is around 5%. He asks if i installed the tint myself and i say 'no sir, when we bought the car in july the owner had it on.' luckily, he was nice and i didn't get a ticket.

I hate getting pulled over for tint. Luckly the state trooper that pulled me over when I had my '94 didn't give me a ticket either.

Thats the risk you take with that dark of tint. I am pretty thankful my windows dont look too dark. As much as I loved the 20%, I can say Im 2 less warnings happier with 35%.

Just be glad you didnt get a ticket.

pulled over 3 seperate times, only thing about my car was no front plate... "sorry sir ive been having trouble locating the bracket from a GM dealership"...."well take care of it when you can"...."thank you" hehe. never got **** about tint, they seem not to care too much around here cause theres lots of julio trucks that have like mirrored, colored and all sorts of tint, and they would be pulling peope over all the time, so they leave me alone pretty much. i also usually have my windows down unless its raining, snowing, or below 50 degrees.

Yea, i normally keep my windows down but my girlfriend wasn't feelin to great, so i had the AC on, it was like 65* but humid as hell...

i dont have my front plates on either, looks stupid imo....so its in he back of my trunk..lmfao never been pulled over for it. I will use that excuse if i ever get pulled over.

I have 5% on both my truck and camaro I have had no problems?? My buddie got pulled over for it but, he drive an ex-cop car so I think that probally had something to do with it lol.

Yeah but you live in FL as well. When I use to live there everyone had limo tint on their cars.

I did the same thing. I used the excuse that they stole my front bracket and took the plate along with it. The cop thought something was a little off, so he asked if he could search the car. I let him. So he looked in the back seat, asked me to fold the seats down, looked in the hatch, shone his flashlight RIGHT ON THE PLATE AND BRACKET (which I had wrapped in a towel and tucked behind my sub box, albeit in full view), he didn't see it, and he let me go.

The province I live in now does not require front license plates. So I'm laughin'.

I dunno about anywhere else, but to write a ticket for tint, no matter how dark it is, they have to have a tester light; and only 1/10 of the cops around here carry one because they are expensive.

well i don't know how many of them around here carry them, but sure enough the one that pulled me did.

That sucks! I havent been pulled over yet for my tint but Im sure I will be sometime.. BTW Justin you changed your tint?

I think any of the cops around here can tell whats darker than 50%.. **** I can probably name the percentage by looking at it, which is what one cop did to me.
