Half way done...

Well my dad and i started on the car around 4 pm and finished up around 9:30. We had both exhaust manifolds out by 8 o'clock. now its reassembly time and i have to cut my wires to length and crimp the ends. also i have to pull the trans tomorrow cause one of the manifold to y-pipe nuts fell in through the starter hole wouldnt you know it. so anyways, we made awesome time i think, only thing that sucks is the bolt fell in that hole and i need to get a new starter or maybe just solenoid since the damn thing broke(it was original and snapped right when the wrench moved the nut, haha). anyways im also waiting for my y-pipe from Thunder Racing still which sucks but ill figure something out in the mean time.

Hmm, with all the mods done to the TA by the previous owner, I was expecting it to have headers.

Mike Jones 02-03-2006 11:36 PM

Very nice, can't wait to hear it.

Bernotas05 02-03-2006 11:49 PM

actually the things it had when i bought it were very minimal. it had a muffler, free mods, new rack and baer tie rod ends. he has ever tubular BMR front and rear suspension peice you can buy including a stub torque arm, all heim links no bushing at all. it sat so low it was insane. and also LS1 brakes. he swapped all the stuff from a camaro that was going to be autocrossed after an LT1 swap but it never had the swap done, so he got it for cheap with the v6 and all the suspension and brakes. other than that it had a nitrous kit on it.

my dad is getting kinda old and he always gives me those warning about doing things and throwing money into uneccesary parts of the car, but i know hes still a kid a little bit when he smirked at me and asked me if i knew how wild and loud it was gonna be with this exhaust.haha

i think a lot of us started getting into muscle cars, and mainly camaros through or dads, shoot my dad had a 69, 73(both long gone), and now has a 01 SS and a 95 RS, although he regrets ever selling his 73 and 69.(needed the money at the time)

My parents tell me the same thing and I always give them the same reply. I can always make more money but all the money on Earth cannot buy my youth back.
