heres whats up

i doubt any of you know this but i still owe my dad 700 dollars for my car. not a lot of money...but when u dont have a job its hard to get. so heres the deal. i just put the rims back on my dads ranger for him and was telling him how much better it would look lowered and he said he has no money to do it unless we wait another year. i told him ill pay for it if he takes that off of what i owe him. so basically im paying my dad back the 300 dollars and he will be putting it right into my daily driver hahaha. so yeah. that money would have been towards a new top for the vert but w/e i cant afford gas for my car right now and the ranger is much more reliable...and safer...and slower. so i wont be tempted to drive like an idiot as much as i would with the camaro. so basically what im saying is that my car is on hold for a few months. i will be working on the paint still (should be done soon). but no more money into it until i pay my dad back completely cause hes getting kinda agrivated i put all this money into my car instead of paying him back.

yeah no ****. im trying to get a job. i cant drive until i have a job anyways

FORCE_FED_Z 04-29-2007 04:57 PM

Sucks- you need a job to pay for the gas and such, and it makes it hard to get a job when you can't drive..

I'm sure you'll be fine, once you get a job you'll be surprised how quickly you can spend all that hard earned money.

blue89vert 04-29-2007 05:24 PM

haha yeah so basically i need a job to pay to drive and i need to drive so i can get a job. i still cant get my license for 3 weeks. if i had it already i would have a job for sure but when i cant drive anywhere its hard

Your car can wait man, get a job and get some income :p

V6Cam 04-29-2007 07:38 PM

we all had to start at one point in our lives, putting some of the things we loved to do aside...

mxracerbrian 04-29-2007 08:23 PM

haha bummer matt. sounds like a mess

Bernotas05 04-29-2007 09:19 PM

Yea It would be worth puttin the car off and getting a Job so you could afford to do it all right and have some income.

blue89vert 04-29-2007 09:21 PM

i think all of you are looking at this in a negative way. im paying my dad back money that i owe him but its like he is giving it back to me so i can lower the truck. i really didn't want to be driving the camaro to school anyways. i just want to cruise on weekends and w/e. this is making it so that i can take my time on my car and not rush to get it done so that i can drive it right away when i get my license. oh and btw. the camaro wouldn't be any cheaper for me to drive then the truck would...just a few mpg difference. still gonna be like 200 a month for insurance

Bernotas05 04-29-2007 09:28 PM

Yea I get the point thats a sweet deal doing that but I'd still be worried about getting a job first. You could join the army you get to see the world and get paid for it.

blue89vert 04-29-2007 09:31 PM

its funny you mention that. i have really been considering joining the army or the air force. im only 16 right now but that gives me time to think about what i really want to do. i think the army or the air force would be a good experience for me. i have heard a lot about them and thats what made me consider it.

Bernotas05 04-29-2007 09:39 PM

Honestly if you only plan on staying in for a few years air force would be better for the most part. Thier jobs are more of what you would be able to carry over to the civilian side. Unlike the army most of our jobs dont carry over for anything on the civilian side. Even me being Military police wont carry a whole lot of it over unless I go on a swat team since we mostly train for tactial ****. Kicking in doors and taking names. The Army has way better benefits in the long run if you decide to stay in. I'm set up to go down cuba next year unless I deploy to Iraq is what it comes down to. Either way no winter time lol thats what im looking forward to. If you have any questions on anything just let me know, because most places you would talk to would tell you anything just to get you to join. I dont really care I'll tell you the truth about everything you would want to know. Overall though joining was the best decision I ever made.

blue89vert 04-29-2007 09:42 PM

yeah i figured the army is more long term. thats why i was leanin more towards air force. im gonna do lots of thinkin about this.
this summer after i get a steady job and im makin some extra money im going to buy some cheap cars that need work and fix w/e needs to be fixed and maybe a paint job and then sell them for some extra dough.
