I got screwed!!!

Well the other day i went to go to Oswego to go to Walmart, but my car started to act up so i took the car back home and drove it very little, had to take my girlfriend home and that was about all the driving i did. So i borrowed my friends S10 ans drove that for two days, when you got under the hodd you could see that the two plug wires were melted through from leaning against the EGR, but then you look at the EGR and it fried, so the plugs were lifetime warrantied, so they were replaced, and we got a new EGR Valve, spend all together 228 dollars for the EGR, drove the car one day it was fine, went to go to to the city again and the car started to act up so i pulled over to see what the hell was going on, there was no sparks arcing from the wires, but the exhaust manifold up to the EGR was bright red(looked like a high powered turbo cars manifolds after a race) so i called my uncle and told him that, bc he is mechanic and told me that the Catylist converter was plugged, so i dropped it at his house for the night and took his truck, then i picked it up the next morning to take to the shop, it took me about 30 minutes to get there when it was about 5 minutes away, i had no balls in the car, it would only go up to 4000 rpms, and would only go a max of 45, and it took a long i mean long time to get to that speed. so it gets there i borrow a friends hummer for the day, then go check on it later that day they replaced the Cat. and told me that the brand new EGR was fried also, and i looked at it and it was burnt the hell up, so they through a used one on for now, i hated that bc my SES light is on again, bc the EGR needs to be replaced...so my week hasnt been the best, sry for the long story but i havent been on recently...

True, there's nothing worse than not knowing what's wrong with it. Grant can attest to that.

Very true. But i know now. I'll post about it in it's own thread but trust me - sometimes not knowing is easier to take. :(
