Inporting Jdm Goodness Over To Canada?

Hey guys,

I am curentley wondering how would I buy a car in Japan, or inport it to the states? My friend in California can recive the car, and I would pick it up from California to Canada, since we have a 15 year law here in Canada, to inport any thing from Japan, I tot I would use this method, to eather inport a JDM EK Shell, or a right hand drive civic, or even posible another integra, thats right hand drive, and build here in Canada, I have all the parts needed, so how would I go about doing this?... m

The car I want should be 1995 to 2000 integra full car/ or shell, is fine by me, just has to have righ hand drive, and clean ass title... lol... this is the car I really want, but i would like more information when it comes to inportin cars here, and where would I start?... do you guys know any one that does that in canada?...

thanks in advance...

there are a couple brokers out there that do this. I know we used to have one guy that always spammed TSR and other forums, a real professional... so id avoid him...and ill help you avoid him by deleting & commenting out his companies name

Currently TSR doesnt have any advertisers who do such a thing, and really, i cant personally tell you who to go with.
Theres a guy on my msn whos into all this, ill forward him the link.

/edit: sent him the link

You can't import cars under than 15 years old. And (speaking from experience as someone who has filled out the forms for importing 15 year old cars and seen their condition) you probably don't want anything 15 years old from Japan. They all tend to be in poor mechanical or physical condition, from Civics to GTR's. Don't believe me go look at the POS GTR they have at GTA auto leasing for $24k. It has a rolled back odometer, mismatched paint, faded wheels and dyno'd at 262 whp with aftermarket turbos and other stuff that have should easily gotten it to 400hp. A former friend owned it and it truly is a $24,000 piece of junk. I'd advise against wasting your money on something from over-seas just because it's cheap.
