Hey guy im new here, anyways i got a question id really appreciate the replys and advise. What are the penalties if i am pulled over by a cop and im driving in a rented out car under my cousin's name with out him in the car and i only have my G1? Considering no traffic violations and etc, just a random check point, BTW im driving after 12:confused:

You aren't supposed to be driving without a licensed driver (of 4-5 years) with your G1

After 12 doesn't matter really, but not sure of the penalty.

So what happened?

Well nothing yet, but i was planning on doing so,i am aware of the regualtions, just wanted to know what are the penalties, someone told me that if i am under 18 they will take me down to the station and get my parents to come pick me up, car will be towed and possibility of G2 test delay? Just want to hear what you guys have to say regarding this

Well with everything involved that could go wrong
-Driving alone with a G1
-Driving after midnight on a G1
-Driving a rented vehicle under someone else's name without you on the rental agreement.

hmm lets throw a Driving on a prohibited Hwy (400's, QEW, DVP) to that and go for the whole shebang.

I'd say if you got pulled over you'd be F*cked, cops would probably think the vehicle was stolen, and put you through the ringer. License Yanked, Parents called, Rental Agency involved,

well to start, being a rental car makes it worse in a few ways.
1) its illegal for anyone under 25 to operate a rental car (check out the contract)
2) you may have your G1 suspended (but thats worse case, mind you they are strict now)
3) your cousin may have to choose between HIM being charged as a negligent operator for allowing you to operate the car, unless they give him the option to report it stolen (some do some dont) but he is liable for the car and anyone operating it so he can be charged too.

their are many others too, but its late and a long list.
i suggest not doing it cause your not only screwing yourself should you get caught, but your also screwing your cousin should you get caught.
