Looked at a new car...

I stopped and talked to a guy that is selling his 97 RS Camaro...The car is whit, 3.8L V6 with 102,000 miles on the car, leather interior, automatic, magnaflow dual exhaust, power window/locks, power drivers seat, remote car locks, bra on the front(rip off the car), aftermarket cd deck, chrome stock 5 spoke rims, new tires, very clean, cant tell you how clean it was...but he wants 6400 dollars for it, is this a reasonable price...i checked it on KBB.com and they say in excellent condition it should be about 5600, he has had two other offers on it...6000 and 6200 for it...i checked my car...i can sell mine about 4000 for it...but all i want to know is this Camaro worth the 6400 dollars

I think that is too high for the year/6er/milage. You could find LT1's for that price and for a little more an LS1 with similar miles.

I have a buddy in NY that was looking to sell his 94Z last I knew. About 60k miles, LT1, chip, intake, headers, flowmasters, and now nitrous. About the same price too...

dont like the color...green/black/white/dark blue...those are the colors im looking for

Thats way too high for a 3.8 with that many miles on it. you could definatly find a pretty decent lt1 or ls1 with that amount.

use this probably the most accurate calculator available
and it looks like dealer it would be about $6k (by adding options base is only $5200)

Everyone's right, that's to much money. You can get a Z28 no problem for that type of money.

V6Cam 04-16-2006 01:42 AM

i want to be able to sell my Camaro for 5 but all im getting up is 4 around

paarman97maro 04-16-2006 02:01 AM

Yeah, way too much. Mines very similar to that, its not near that price.

... *sigh*. Look at what you're saying, read this thread again, then read your post again.

People are telling you that you could get an LT1/LS1 car for around the same money as that 3.8L you're seeing for $6,400. And you're telling us that you want to be able to sell your car for $5,000... that's what that 3.8L would probably, realistically, sell for.

Five Gs for your car, probably not going to happen unless you sell her in Canada... and even then, still be pretty tight.

hell my frend found a 97 i think with a lt4 in it for 5000 looked nice low milege 420 hp hes pissed because he dosnt have the money for it rite now

Try to sell your car for whatever you want, there's bound to be some fool who will pay the money.

V6Cam 04-17-2006 10:50 PM
