maaco got overspray on my door :(

theres been a certain spot on my door that has always showed up kinda duller than the rest. it looked like it was a shine or glare from the side view mirror. so i ignored it.
so for the longest time i thought it was glare and nothing special. then i finally got close and noticed it was actually something in the paint! it was rough there and it had faded paint. i thought it was missing clearcoat. then finally i got smart and took it to another body shop. they said its actually overspray and its on the middle of the door and the side skirt as well. i asked if it can be fixed. he said he'll sand and buff it for me and it will look brand new. all i gotta do is buy lunch for the shop. :D heres what im talking about: |
huh that's to bad but at least you aren't going back to maaco this time
hell no. and the spider cracks on the bumper are showing through AGAIN.
if they couldnt fix it and the bumper should have been replaced they shoulda said so. intead of charging me and just laying 50 coats on it till it goes away. its all under warranty for like 4 years, but theres no way in hell im going back. im really considering suing. |
you run risks but have chance at great reward with lawsuits
wow.. bad choice in maaco.
uh oh better not get maaco
bummer man....thats way lame
dude you can wetsand that **** yourself and give the whole thinga buff. take about hour at most to do.
Maaco sucks, what else is new?
Sorry that you have to go through it again though. |
Yes, Maaco does suck the big one. Ill never take my car to them for a paint job. Thats like having a 5 year old do it with rattle cans.

you can get overspray off easy dude... you probably wont even need to sand it sometime just a buffer will do the trick... the state was painting a bridge here in town and oversprayed hundreds of cars and we were cleaning up a lot of them like that.. id say if you brought that car to the shop we could have her shinning like new in 10 minutes if not less.
ya a 10 minute buff job would most likely do the trick, however, wetsanding then a nice buff with the right compounds will get ya where ya need to be.
im not gonna go to maaco haha
