missing heater core hose
 

so my brother bought a used car and there is no heat...

checked the heater hose by the firewall and it's been cut off and re-routed

2 questions

first, if i just reconnect it should that fix it?

second, why would someone cut the hose?

Heater core is either clogged or it is leaking so somebody bypassed it.

Rip out your dash and take a look.

It sounds like your heater core is gone or hopefully it was just that hose that was leaking. Try a new hose first to see if it was just a leak. Chances are its the heatercore though.

looks like fork over the cash for a new one or layer up for the winter lol
