My First Flat

Haha just thought this was humorous so I'll post it. The other day I'm driving back from KMart headquarters to my office in the company van after picking up interoffice mail. So I'm driving, and I hit a pot hole, nothing major.. and definitely not out of the ordinary here in MI. Well, next thing I know the car seems mushy and it's shaking a lot. Best way to describe it is a mix between being on a road that's under contruction and they scraped the surface and roughed it up and kinda like a dirt road combined. I actually just thought that they were getting to repave the road, so there I go driving 45 still as the car shakes and what not. After a few minutes, and looking in my rear view mirror to see everyone going in the right lane to pass me, I call my mom (who's also my supervisor) and told her she might want to call the dealer cause something's wrong with the van, as im on the phone with her I look in the passenger side mirror and see white smoke pouring out, so I was like "Yeah.. I think I got a flat." By that point I was less than two blocks away, so I put the emergency flashers on and drove it the rest of the way to the parking lot. Haha, it was horrible... the tire was of course totally shredded and the hubcap was cracked. So being the first time I've ever had a flat, I sit there trying to figure out how to get the jack to work (im used to my garage jack) and then I had to figure out how to drop the spare tire down. So I get that going, jack the van up, and then try to loosen the lug nuts and the wheel keeps turning with the lugs. So finally I was like "MAN **** IT!" and put it down on the ground, then loosened the lugs, and jacked it up. Haha yeah so that was my fun first flat tire experience.

For once I'm not trying to be an *******, but what the **** is so funny about that? The only that might have made me smile is the fact that you are a dumbass and don't know how to use a jack

Well i'll give him the enifit of the doubt, at least the jacks that are included in our camaros are pretty much usless. And if all you've ever used was a good standard floor jack well...

Its two pieces!!! If you've ever played with Legos you can figure it out. For ***** sake.

MeenZ28 11-20-2004 11:23 AM

Maybe he hasn't ever played with Legos.

It was the company van, a Chrysler Town and Country, so it was a little different than just poppin it out of the rear quarter panel. I had to figure out how to lower the tire from the bottom of the vehicle and realized there was a winch system that held it up there..

And hey, I did figure it out after all, it just took me a minute. :p
