New best time

I took my (still stock) 30th Anniversary Z to the strip last night. The first run COMPLETELY sucked. I didn't catch traction in 1st or 2nd, and the back end swung out and i had to regain control AND not hit the guard rails. It turned out okay though, I didn't hit anything. Anyways here's the best run of the night.

r/t - .147
60' - 1.991
1/8 - 8.755 @ 80.25 MPH

As for future mods, I plan on getting some Pacesetter LTs and eibach lowering springs for Christmas.

Dang dude thats good for mid-high 13's in the quarter, not bad for bone stock :D

I suggest intake and exhaust before headers though. If it still cant breathe out the backend or take more in from the front end, the headers are useless. Then get some gears and a stall that thing is high 12's without breaking a sweat. Just my .02

Yeah no kiddin. 60' is good.

MetalliCamaro 12-11-2006 01:34 PM

How did you go down the track? I Leave mine in 2nd gear... I run constant 9.3's.

rickjames343 12-11-2006 01:35 PM

yea that 60' is with street tires. It prolly helps it was around 50* or less outside.

I leave in in D, by the time i start braking it just shifted into 3rd at around 83-86 mph or so.

Actually with street tires you probably could have got better traction if it was 10-15 degrees warmer. The last time I went racing it was high 40's and my tires (street tires :( ) couldnt hook for $hit, when its warm, they hook just fine. So you might be able to run better times or at least more consistant times if it was slightly warmer.
