new car

okay so i want a new car. my poor little V6 is not very reliable and i am waiting for the day she rolls over and dies. plus it needs new tires and i dont intend on keeping it long enough to get full use of them so.

If you had a budget of only $6,000 dollars what would you get?

keep in mind i need a car to get me through at least 5 years with no major probelms so what do you think? can i get a Z and not have problems? if not what do you all suggest. yeah i know i said i get my moms car but turns out since rents are payin for college they can't afford to give me her car so i am out on my own. also i would like to get a vehicle with under 80,000 miles

let me know

thanks
vince

For $6,000, expect to have some repairs or maintenance to do every now and then.

Are you looking to replace the Camaro? Why not another F-Body? Could probably find a decent one around that price, maybe a 3.8L V6.

NoRiceInside 04-13-2007 05:16 AM

you could get a late 90s accord with the V6. reliable as hell and quicker than a 3.4.

ITSA6 04-13-2007 08:18 AM

i have no problem with another f-body what i meant by my first post was i dont want to have to replace a motor or anything huge like that i can handle normal wear and tear though

Phate 04-13-2007 09:48 AM

I want a '95 Honda Accord as a DD if that tells you anything.

looking for reliablity okay so it has troubles not a bunch is what i am looking for? cavalier anyone hear anything bad about them?

NoRiceInside 04-13-2007 09:15 PM

cavaliers are great, but import is what you want for reliability. if youre gonna get a cavalier you might as well get a z28.

2000v6cam 04-13-2007 11:38 PM

yea like was said i would go for an import for pure reliability and u could still have a quick little car, i personally cant stand cavaliers for some reason, but yea i would go with some kind of honda pretty much any of them will run forever if taken care of thats one reason why i bought my bike cause i know it will run for a long long time without much work
