new car? hopefully

My dad and I are going to look at a 1997 30th Anniversary today, ya know, the white with orange stripes. This one has T-tops. The guy said its "garage kept, with low miles" and is asking $7,000. Good deal?

ITSA6 07-05-2006 06:20 PM

I'd take it in a heartbeat if it had low miles.....that sounds better than the 97 trans am here that's for $5,000 and NOT garage kept with 170,000 MILES!!!!!!!!!!

Str8upChevy 07-05-2006 06:25 PM

I'd say anything lower than 75,000 on a 30th Anniversary is worth $7000 and if it's been garage kept for the majority of it's life, odds are pretty good it's in great shape. Sounds like a good deal to me bud! ;)

If it has low miles and in great shape and a REAL 30th aniv....take it in a heart beat.

rickjames343 07-05-2006 08:07 PM

It has 107 K miles but drives like new, so we're getting it tomorrow for 6,500

yea i would definatly take that if its a real 30th anniversary and not a clone u should see if he has paperwork for it

paarman97maro 07-05-2006 09:31 PM

thats like one of my dream cars :(... good deal tho, thats only like 500 more than I paid for mine! no fair! haha... cant wait to see it

Mikerock 07-05-2006 11:18 PM

i dynoed one with intake and it made like 280hp. i think 7k is a good deal.

rickjames343 07-05-2006 11:54 PM

My dad test drove it and its such a big jump up from my v6, even from me just sitting in it.

wow, that guy sure ****** up the rear emblem.

what kinda exhaust does it have on it?

rickjames343 07-06-2006 12:24 AM

Either magnaflow or flowmaster, I dont remember. My dad said the tips are starting to rust, so we'd end up getting a new exhaust in a few months.

paarman97maro 07-06-2006 12:25 AM

im gonna guess flowmaster then :lolsign:
