New DD

Well I finally said screw it to the registration problems with the current DD(well I haven't driven it since Dec because of the problems) and bought something else.
It's nothing nice but it's reliable. It's a 1990 Honda Accord. Here's a couple pictures from the dealer's website.

Adric 04-28-2007 05:37 PM

The car will last me forever and get high 30's MPG. It's cheap, easy to drive, and super low maitence(sp). So it has everything I'm looking for.

FrYd-RyS 04-28-2007 08:14 PM

im glad ur secure enuf with urself to drive that..im not

Thanks...maybe

The car doesn't change who I am by any means. The more money I save on my DD the more I'll have for my Camaro.

FrYd-RyS 04-28-2007 08:20 PM

thats cool man props to u, me being 16 i couldnt do it

Word, good deal on it. I dont know if i ever mentioned but I bought a 00` integra when i got stationed out here because the owner was deploying so i got it cheap and I have no problems with it.

Yes I do remember you posting that. Your Integra is 100x better than this car but even then it's nice having something so cheap.

Where I picked it up was a 45 min drive from my house. I used less than a gallon of gas in that time.

I love how those older Hondas light up like a Christmas tree when you first turn the key. Like a space-ship.

Haha yup, that picture doesn't show all the lights that come on at startup. As long as they turn off when I turn the key on I'll be good.

Mike Jones 04-28-2007 10:39 PM

Just bought some mods for the Honda. This thing should be pretty fast when I'm done.

Youre a retard. Says the guy who is 'secure' enough to bring his car back to a stealershit

ITSA6 04-29-2007 02:44 AM

I would pimp the hub cap spinners or just take the hub caps off because then it'll look like a race car. But it's not to be, the car came with alloys.

Phate 04-29-2007 09:01 AM

You be ridin dirty now son.

FORCE_FED_Z 04-29-2007 05:02 PM

There is only one way to drive it- put the biggest possible muffler tip on it, then slide the seat forward and tip it back so far that you have to look out the space between the steering wheel and the dash- you will be way sweeter in that than you could ever be in your Camaro-

Nice pick on a DD- the 16 mpg I'm gettin with my Jeep is getting a little old, I was thinking about getting something a little better on gas to save some money-

Mike Jones 04-29-2007 05:11 PM

Haha, thanks Joe.

Knowklew 04-29-2007 07:44 PM

Chad, you forgot the stickers....

You're right, I'm thinking a big Honda emblem type sticker to cover the entire hood.

But to be completely honest I do have a couple plans for the car. It has some rust spots, I'm going to either fix them or just replace the fenders. I would like to paint it a darker blue instead of the blue/green color it is now. I figtured I could test my painting skills on this car. Other than that I just want to really clean it up and then do all the regular maintance to keep it running smoothly.

blue89vert 04-29-2007 10:16 PM

that sounds good. do it like me... under 300 dollars for a decent paint job. if the rust isn't all the way through u can get it out and just put bondo on it. what you do is take a wire wheel on an electric drill until every brown spot of rust is gone...and i mean every brown spot. if you miss some it will come back.

ITSA6 04-29-2007 10:39 PM

sweet chad painting should be fun

97z2801ss 04-30-2007 09:29 AM

ohh **** a turbo simulator o man!

This from the guy putting a body kit on a camaro? You have no idea the level of pimpness that accord can have.....I mean besides some rims, lowered, tint, paint job, that thing would look great with the bonus of chad behind the wheel.
