I'm waiting a little longer for mine since it's backordered but it's all MBA products to clean up my engine bay.

nice. those things always look good and really set a car off. i got some stuff to make it run better(its kinda missing a little now and has really cold plugs in it from when he had the 125 shot) so i got new plugs, OVC wires and my ORY:)

haha. i ordered a ratech complete gear install kit from thunder racing...not cuz im installing gears, but cuz my rear pinion bearing went out :(

69z-28 01-14-2006 08:52 PM

caleb you shoulda spent an extra 200 bucks or so and got 3.73s:)

NoRiceInside 01-15-2006 04:16 AM

i barely had enough for the bearings. but its not just 200 for gears...theres also speedo recal...

archemedes 01-15-2006 04:23 AM

not to mention replacing gears is either expensive, or a pain to do

69z-28 01-15-2006 08:57 AM

yea but if in essence hes replacing everything with an install kit why not just do the gears as well, but i understand if you didnt have enough, however who cares about speedo recalc.lol

have you ever installed gears? It takes dial indicators and assembly, disassembly, marking with paint. I've done 2 and realized there was a reason in '95 it paid 10 hours (engine replacement was 12 hours to give a clue)

Yea ill never touch the inside of a rear again after putting a new ring and pinnion and spider gears in the rear on my bronco last month that was a ****** nightmare.

nope and cant say i ever plan on doing it. ill pay the 600 dollars to have it done. just for the record i figued since Caleb works at a shop they had the tools to do it and new gears would only be the price of the gears and install kit for him. thats all.

NoRiceInside 01-15-2006 09:54 PM

arch all that work with measuring should still be done when installing new bearings and crush sleaves. swapping gears durring a rear end rebuild isnt that much extra work.
