New Wheels/Tires

Unfortunately, the weather is terrible, so pictures will arrive a bit later in the day, but I will tell you what I got.

Yesterday, I picked up my new set of Corvette ZR1 wheels finished in Chrome. They're 17"x9.5" on the front, and 17"x11" on the rear. The tires are 275/40ZR17 on the front, and a whopping 315/35ZR17 on the rear, Sumitomo HTR-Z brand.

The car handles amazingly, night and day difference. It looks incredibly aggressive with those 315s sticking out of the fenderwells, and really finish the car nicely.

Now it's time for some sunny weather, and the new compressor to go on, and we'll be rockin' 12s. :D

first person to say "oh man, ZR1s are overdone" will see the return of the virtual bi*ch slap.

anyway congrats, i love ZR1s. 17 is the perfect size, and you cant go wrong with 11s ;)

cool on the new wheels, just not a fan of ZR1's.

15 Attachment(s)
I find the Z06s and the C5 thin-spoke are far more common than the ZR1.

They look absolutely bad-***, and handle beautifully. I <3 Chromies. :D And first person to mention my rear drums gets a b*tch slap, I'm upgrading soon, eff-off. :)

Having said that, PICTURES:

But get rid of those rear drums :p

Post a clear picture of yourself and I'll do the Wilwood LS1 brake upgrade first thing tomorrow morning. :p

pretty sharp, how much did the rims cost u?

TorqueDog 05-19-2006 11:40 AM

After conversion to Canadian funds, taxes, importation costs, shipping, and UPS brokerage fees, just a hair under $2,000 Canadian, and that's mounted, balanced, with chrome lugs, valve stems, and locks.

They look really nice.

I hate rear drums too.

FORCE_FED_Z 05-19-2006 06:52 PM

Rims look decent, I'm just not personally a fan of the ZR1's. Watch your burnouts..those tires won't last long-
