No More Camaro

I just got off the phone with my insurance company. Tomorrow is the last day I have full insurance on the Camaro. I'm about to go out right now and and do a full wash, wax, and vacuum of the car. Then I'll go pick up a car cover and that'll be it for driving the Camaro this year.

While it sucks not having it to drive I really look forward to being able to work on the car and not put on the hard daily driving miles on it anymore.

Time to break out the wrecked '93 Sundace! :lolsign:

get some gas stabilizer also. Is it going to be in a garage or outside? Pick up some dryer fabric softener sheets and put a couple in the car, it keeps mice away (old camper trick) also pick up a couple dissectant packs (supposedly available at home depot or similar store) to keep the interior from getting damaged with condensation

Inside a garage all winter.

I'm going to use a dust sheild car cover.
Put something to cover the intakes and exhaust(gotta make sure nothing lives in there)
I'm going to put Damp-Rid in the car(absorbs water)
Already have the fuel stabilizer
About to do an oild change, flush the coolent, and check all the other fluids and more than likely change them as well.
I just double checked the tire presure to make sure everything's perfect. (I'm thinking about picking up some really crappy stock wheels from the local junk yard and put those on the car instead so the good wheels won't have any presure on them all winter)

Wait! Aren't you going to be driving a Geo Metro this winter?

I already put mine away, it sucks, I miss driving it already. I'm gonna have to use that dryer sheet trick though, never heard of it before, I had a mouse get into my intake last year but not past the filter.

WI is by no means my first choice of where to live but it could be a lot worse. Look at the crime rate in CA, it's insane. Growing up we would not only leave our door unlocked but in the summer we would leave the front door of our house wide open even when we left for hours because there was NO crime whatsoever. I can handle the winter if I know I'll get home safe, my car won't be jacked, or keyed, or whatever.

Oh yeah, and smog!
