Thats a damn good question , i cant make out wether theyre fuel lines or not or else i would say probably a fuel management system , i may be wrong tho .

adamo 02-16-2005 11:39 AM

I don't think a fuel line would be heading towards the front of the car.

ricernoob 02-16-2005 11:42 AM

i see a cool air intake

a nos fogger system

YEA, AND A STAND ALONE FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, not a bad way to spend 10 grand.

You really know how to quote the best part of F&F. What a photographic/phrase memory you have.......

Not me, I'm stuck on watching these animated drift shows over here. Pretty wild.

is that a superchanger? in the pic?

supra_DT 02-16-2005 02:03 PM

It's an oil separator for the PCV system. What it basically does is remove the oil from the air that is being recirculated back into the intake.

Are u talking about the catch can? because that's not what he's pointing to...

He wants to know what that black solenoid/valve is between the braided line with the red fittings.

supra_DT 02-16-2005 06:35 PM

^ahhh, my bad. Yeah, I was talking about the catch can. Took a look again and see what you mean now.

The line with the red fittings is not a braided line. it's actually a rubber line with the "dress up" braided shielding over it. You can tell by the worm clamps under the red end caps.

I would have 2 guesses on what it could be:

1. The black thing is a distribution block that was put between a coolant hose and the temp probe for his water temp gauge is mounted to the blue fitting, but what the -4 braided line that is also mounted to the block I don't know what that would be for if the main line is in fact a coolant hose.

OR

2. (Which is what I'm leaning more towards) is that the distribution block is between an oil line and the -4 braided line goes to an oil pressure gauge and the temp probe goes to an oil temp gauge (the one mounted in the blue fitting on the block).

oil presure regulator ?

i have no clue... i'll stop posintg now

supra_DT 02-16-2005 06:53 PM

^Never heard of an oil pressure regulator before. Is that mounted behind the flux capacitor?? just kidding man :p

Actually my final answer is #2 in my post above because I just noticed the temp probe for the water temp gauge is mounted in the upper rad hose.

:zimp:

Did I win?
