Plans For Car

Since I've had more free time lately I've been doing a lot of thinking about my plans for the car.

Here's my current plans for the car but as you all know my plans change all the time.
- Four point roll cage. It won't get in the way of me but will look really good
- Cover interior panels in black leather
- Black carpet and headliner
- Tint windows, 20%
- Fender flares, repaint car. Same color but fix all the imperfections and paint stripes on. (Will do this winter for sure)
- Get under the car and start detailling it as well as the engine bay
- New shocks
- From there the only thing I can really see adding to the car is a turbo kit.

After these I think the car will be complete and it will be time to look for a Corvette to modify. I will keep the Camaro though.

Chad your car is already, but with all that stuff...your car will be just plain sick!

looks like a good plan. just curious what color vette do you want to go with? another red black thing? or something new?

Sounds like a good plan, I'm glad your tinting the windows that will be a huge improvement apperance wise. Getting a vette would be the also.

sweet dude! by covering the interior panels in leather, what panels are you referring to exactly?

and just to let ya know, your car will deffinitley be in the 11's maybe 10's with your cam and nitrous, if you do turbo, then damn sure it will be so a 4 point cage wont do anything for ya at the track. i know you dont plan to run or at least not much but i just wanted to let ya know, the 2 extra bars will make ya legal at least.

Mike Jones 07-18-2007 09:41 AM

I don't care about being legal at the track. I'm not huge into running at the track, I'd rather have a street car. A six point cage will take the streetability away from the car since you'll have to crawl over the bars just to get in and out.

sweet plans chad! i think they design some 6 pts where the bar goes at a sharper angle down from the back and kinda goes level with the side of your seat so it doesn't get in the way of the driver. i know i have seen that before but it may have been custom made.

I don't want a six point, just the four point.

I really want a '60's Camaro as well but I'd rather wait until I really have the money. I don't want to have it turn into a ten year project car.

I can't wait for everything to be done, I'm so excited. The car will look good, sound good, ride well, and be fast enough to really enjoy all at the same time. It'll really become my dream car.

Sounds like a good plan- I know I have some longer range plans for mine, but we'll see how they come into play once I actually get my own house...
