Okay I got my oil changed and tires rotated today and they told me I need to clean my K&N filter...in the ram air. I hope this doesnt sound stupid but how do I clean it? thanks.

they have a recharge kit for them.... cost 10 bucks.... instructions come with it...
get it from advance auto parts.

oil it, eh? Wouldn't that like... clog it? and then you'd get like... oil in your air intake system?

no you oil the outside. they have two things in the recharge kit. one thing you spray on the outside of the filter and it breaks up and loosens the crap. let that sit and then rinse it out. when it dries apply new oil to the outside and its done.

yep, I bought the kist when I bought my FIPK. That way I would have it when I need it. Here's a link to one: http://www.stylinconcepts.com/part.c...&CategoryID=28
