Should I???

My dad and I were talking and I think I might get a cheap 3000gt or stealth and learn stick on it. because in a couple years I plan on getting a t/a hopefully ot at least a z28 lt1. And i want to learn stick and my dad also wants me to know how so i thought just get a cheap 5 spd and learn. then i can just take that car in with the maro and have a little more trade money, also i can have it as a backup or winter beater even though we really dont have a winter but maybe a month and half out of the year. I don't know you guys think i should, of course no way the camaro is going, how bad can a 3 grand or so 5 spd be?

3000gts & Stealths are tight-it sounds like a good idea to me

sorry bro, but awd cars are HARD to launch without bogging them, due to their traciton, it's alot different than a ta or camaro.

there is only 1 model that is AWD

1BADVETTE 01-15-2005 08:40 PM

isn't that what you plan on getting?

NCamaro94 01-15-2005 08:46 PM

no that one model is the r/t turbo, i dont want speed yet just a learning car.

archemedes 01-15-2005 09:24 PM

those are not good learning cars, clutches are expensive in them (parts on my friends was over$600) go with a honda or gm they use cheap clutches (you will burn one up) an s10 holds up well and can hold resale value

NCamaro94 01-15-2005 10:10 PM

i hate hondas and trucks anything else cheap on clutches thats kind of sporty?

SOMBirdV6 01-15-2005 10:22 PM

why not get something cheaper.......like a pos cavy? or pos civic? just my 2 cents.

NCamaro94 01-15-2005 10:24 PM

cavy i'll look, civic hell no

RFF 01-15-2005 10:30 PM

I know several people who learned to drive stick on a new car, not to hard to drive unless you really can't drive.

NCamaro94 01-15-2005 10:31 PM

i know it wont be hard but for 1 just in case i burn a clutch and 2 i don't want to give up my camaro now just for another v6 manual camaro.

RFF 01-15-2005 10:34 PM

So burn the clutch in your camaro and replace with something stronger, either way it is going to go. ;)
