Should I buy this?

im trying to help my neighbor sell this thing, it an 89 jeep yj
carbed 4.2, 5 spd trans, pretty sure the mileage is 53k ish, i can get the exact # if needed, but it is original miles
from what i can tell its mostly rust free, all the brakes work good, lights all work, tires are 30x9.5's i think and look almost new
i think the clutch master and slave cylinder were both recently replace because the previous owner put engine oil in the reservoir, clutch seems to work fine now
the truck wont run right now, it will start, but as soon as ya turn the key back to run it shuts off, i think its a simple wiring issue, i was going to fix it for him but i dont have the time to right now
if you'd like any more details just ask and i will look at the truck as its in my driveway, i can take pictures of anything specific that you'd like to see
i think it was repainted at some point, but it looks pretty good, the current owner added the chrome grill pieces

He wants 3000 obo, the only thing im worried with is the whole ignition thing. Based on his description what do you guys think is wrong with it? Is it worth driving 95 miles to buy it? Maybe even have to tow it

Also i thought jeeps normally have the 4.0 in them

Older YJ's had the carb'd 4.2 liter motor in them. As long as the frame is fine, its worth the $$ he is asking. Jeeps keep their value pretty well. Easy to work on too- parts are usually really easy to get. I enjoyed driving mine- they are fun in the summer when you can take the top and doors off and drive around.

As far as the problem with it not staying running, could be some kind of ignition related issue, hard to say without more information.
