So I rode in a C6 z06 today...
 

First things first. OH MY GOD ITS ******* FAST. HOLY **** MY CAR IS ******* SLOW. OH MY GOD IT GOES 0-60 REALLY FAST. OH MY GOD MY CAR GOES 0-60 REALLY REALLY SLOW. :eek:

So I went to a friend's house whose dad works at GM and was testing the z06. He took me for a ride and he was gunning it on the streets and then we went to the freeway. We're on the entrance ramp which is a long straight path and then a slight 30 degree turn towards the end where it merges into traffic on the freeway. He starts it at a stop, 0-60 in no time flat, about 65 he kicks it into 2nd, zoomin up to about 90 when he shifts it into 3rd. He's letting up on the clutch and the rear end slams into gear and we're fish tailing. 90 miles an hour, and the rear end is going towards the driver's side, then he corrects it and we're headed straight for the ditch on the passenger side, he corrects again and we're about straight, but the rear end swings back driver's side again so again we're facing the ditch, we're about a foot away from the ditch, the weeds are whacking the **** out of the side of the car, he comes back up onto the road, tires spinning against the dirt, hits the gravel, sends us into a 360, we skid 360 degrees across the pavement over the "merge" shoulder, and end up facing the correct way in the right lane of the freeway, engine stalled, come to a stop. Dust flying up everywhere, people in the opposite direction cheering for us as they drive by, the guy behind us stopping to ask if we're ok and then shaking his head as he drives off. With a sly smirk my friend's dad says "Well, that was enough fun for this evening, we're putting it back into normal mode and not gunning it like that tonight." :lolsign: This was the first time I met the guy, I thought I was going to die lol. Fun time. The car's fast as ****, though, seriously. Fast. as. ****.

haha thanks, i was just trying to relay as much of the... terror... going through my system as this complete stranger that I've never met before is counter steering our skidding lol

lol. my dads friend got a regular C6, and omg i cant imagine a z06. his regular c6 was like, turn a corner from a roll, stand on it and 1 house later he goes "that was 60".lol. sounds like fun and terror all in one.

thats craziness man, i'd love to drive in one....just not w/ that guy driving

i'd rather drive one.
