it depend on what u want to do he can be quite pricey at times but from personal expeiance i got screwed i bought a nitrous pill from him a while back and it was drilled out and he charged me 10 bucks

m5racer 04-30-2005 06:58 PM

YES... well as many pulls as you can fit in within an hours time...

watch out though, cause they can charge you more if you sound like a sucker

Maybe thats why you guys paid $80/hr?

When I dyno'd my heap at Protech, it cost something like $40/hr

2tone_93gt 04-30-2005 08:02 PM

this is with A/F (not tail pipe) and printout with unlimited runs?... , last summer iheard protech was charging over $100....

decent deal. :thumbsup

My buddy is good friends with him and he even says he is extremly expensive. I personally would not go there to be honest, when that big fast and the furious fling was going on he must have been swapping 3-4 motors a day not including the other work he had . It's not like he was doing the work himself either , he had a bunch of young guys doing all the labour for him wich you could go to the shop next door and pay couple hundred $ less and have someone with equal if not more experience do it. In my opinion the more bussy they are the more its rushed and hack jobs occur .
:)

I went to protech and they charged me somehting like 120 an hour. for Wideband in tail pipe, printout, and unlimited runs.....

They did a good job though, and would go back anytime.....

B6T 05-01-2005 03:16 PM

Ok then maybe Protech wasn't that cheap.

All I know is that I paid less then $80/hr. But then again I went with a bunch of guys from work...
