this is echoing through this community right now. Those idiots caused more trouble for people who have no involvement with them.

That stupid brings the heat on here, on me and the mods. As of today, 3 requests for interviews. Its funny that they come here. Thats why things really had to change, this incident aside from killing some innocent guy is going to cause a TON of trouble for this summer. :thumbsdow

Has anyone else noticed this, it seems to me like I see cops everywhere now. Usually on my way to school I would see maybe 3 cops a week, now its more like 3 cops a day, and thats just to school. They are always hiding on side streets radaring people, they are even on peoples driveways. This is insane.

its the world we live in know, we have to be smart and drive safe. we need to educate boy racer with daddys benze that its not cool to do light to light, the goverment tried, and failed horribly, we need to make them realise that there is a safer way to do this, or soon enough we will all be unable to drive our cars.

You know what, i always preffered light to light runs. Nothing like meeting up beside a vetter, viper at the lights and running to the next..
Now usually that would take place in the AM, but .. this accident happened in the AM...

Ive yet to have anyone back down from a light to light run.

Its all about a bad choice, and bad timing. Now that kid will pay, and sadly, that taxi guy paid with his life :thumbsdow So many people will feel the effects of 1 mistake/choice.

you know, all of that will push street racing technology to the next level. It is like everything else: the big struggle or problem will push the development.

I bet soon we'll see more and more, exaust pipes getting by-passed by the "flaper": you drive with compleate stock exaust and at the light "click" and you got straight pipes ;).

Additionally we ARE at computer age for cars: you can run your car for maximum fuel economy, and then at the lite: "click" and you change to a different fuel maps, spark timing, cams opening and closing, boost goes up....

aww i hear ya , im from the brampton area an ive been pulled over 3 times in just this weekend alone have my car inspected by a pig that has 6 weeks of car certifacation training , i mean come on . i was doin maybe 5 over the limit which is my usual travel speed an there were people passing me an i still get hauled over by radar bob.

i dont know about you guys but i think some one should build a race track up around here some place , not everyone is goin to drive to kayuga spend $100 for a few runs an gas there an back + food/snacks . they want us to do this in controlled environments ? authorities just cant be all against any sort of racing instead of trying to ERASE it they should set stuff up where those who want to partisapate can race in a simulated environment , same rules apply as if you were at the drag strip lol you crash ins dont cover it an your SOL .

any idea's on this?

What are they doing with the old Downsview airport, anyone know? I always thought they should have a place to drag race on the old runways.

JackTripper 04-03-2006 09:56 PM

drag race on the runways would be cool..

seriously though.. drag racings on residential streets is ****ed up.. its not worth the risk.. nor the bragging rights.. it takes one split second to kill someone.. do it legal.

Doesnt the show 'sport compact car' or whatever it is on speed test drive some cars at downsview...?

They mentioned it on 1 of ther shows...
