Stupid Accord

My Honda Accord needs a new catback and the oem ones are really expensive. So I'll be buying an aftermarket one to save hundreds. I am looking at the ones with the removable silencers that I'll keep on at all times.
Anyone know how loud these are with the silencers installed? I want it as quiet as possible.

Here's the specific one I'm looking at right now - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...221421484&rd=1

The OEM muffler alone is over $100 :banghead: So this will save me quite a bit since I need th entire catback.

My setup on the intgra has one of them removeable silencer's, Its really not loud with it in. You wont notice at all really, if your stock exchaust is all busted up and loud it will be a whole lot quiet. I keep my silencer out though, It definatly robs power by not flowing well. The exit is made down to allmost an inch so there isnt much flow going on with the silencer in.

I don't care about power, this car doesn't have any anyways and I only drive it short distances around town. It hasn't been on the interstate but once in the last year.
Thank you for the help.

Why dont you just goto an exhaust shop and have them custom bend one. Here its dirt cheap.

Otherwise a cheap exhaust would be at www partstrain com

i agree with 93camaro, Chad i have a buddy down here( Z28_Dad on mfba) he does lots of custom exhaust work and whatnot, im sure if you picked up a cheap muffler, he could run a whole new setup for you for dirt cheap, or go to your local exhaust shop. that would be way cheaper than the price of those catbacks, and you can have a regular non-ricer exhaust tip.lol

mod the **** out of it now.

is this an excuse to start ricing out the accord :P
doesnt everyone want a loud ass fart can.
whats next? someone bumps your front end and you need a conversion to a bmw...
j/k
go to a exhaust shop or even a wrecking yard pick up something cheap and used just to get your thru it if you really dont care and its just your beater.

Mike Jones 03-26-2008 02:36 PM

Well I just found a place with a good price on an OEM exhaust. So I placed the order and as soon as it comes I'll have a nice quiet car again.

Amurican_Muscle 03-27-2008 02:36 PM

Haha... Chad rolling around in a riced out accord. Perfect. ;) Just kidding. Yeah, keep it stock exhaust. :)

You'd just be jealous :nana:

Yup a stock exhaust is what I have coming in :eleph:

Why, youre cutting out soooo much horsepower? Youre going to have to throw in the nitrous again to make up for it.

I have the the Camaro setup with 150 wet shot, I'm sure the Accord could handle that no problem.

98CamaroZ28 03-28-2008 01:30 AM

the Accord can take a 200 shot easy....psshhhh

then blow up :lolsign:
