Tint or STB
 

Im not gonna be adding any mods to my car for about another month, or closer to spring, but I have been getting stuff prepared. After my exhaust/headers Im planning to get a STB and I have been talking to a guy that does window tinting so Im finally gonna get my rear window tinted :)

Which one do you guys think I should go with first? I am going to eventually get both, though. Oh yeah, what is a reasonable price for the rear window to get tinted? I know when I lived in La Crosse there was nowhere that touched hatches for cheap, and it was like $120, thats why I never got it done, too expensive... but the guy that Im talking to now does it for $90 he told me, which sounds like a better price to me. The STB could be anywhere from $60-$85.

Id say tint the back window, then just watch ebay for the brace they go on there cheap just keep your eye out

Just the rear hatch for $90?? THats crazy!

Well, when I lived in La Crosse, it was like 200 for the sides and rear... Then I found a guy who did the sides for 60. Ive been looking for somewhere to do the back for cheap, and this is the cheapest Ive found.

I'd tint the rear first to match the sides.

Yea i paid 200 for back and both sides on my red bird, im only tinting the back on my formula maybe goin light on the front but i doubt it they strictened the law in pa on it. I got 2 warnings for the 20 on the front on my bronco i could only imagine my car..

I only paid $160 for the back and both sides on my '94. I had the tint for about two years and got pulled over once and recieved a warning. At the time I also had taillight blackouts which I also recieved a warning for. I'm not sure if the warning will be kept on their records still or not. If not I'll go ahead and tint my window's agian which I really want to do.

Definitely tint first. I got the ttops, back window and sides tinted for 140 :) 90 doesn't sound that bad for the rear it's hard to do. I asked the guy who did mine about redoing the sides if I changed my mind and wanted to go lighter and he said they would be 30 each.

$200? Holy hell I could go through six rolls of tint and still come out ahead.

that price sounds like a decent price to me but i would definatly tint ur hatch first, ive only gotten pulled over once but i got a $200 ticket:banghead: (my tint is 2.5%)

Ouch, I plan to do mine sometime this months. Going with 20% on the side and 2.5% on the rear and brow.

good plan, then you wont have to wind both your windows down when a cop drives by :lolsign:

i got a pretty damn good deal with carmen...250 for the windshield sides and rear :D
