Today was a good day :-)

Today marks a huge milestone. The first time Epic has taken me to and from work since the accident (thats exsactly 6 months and 2 days) and man did it feel good. Sure not the same ol' Epic thats for sure. She seems a lot more hyper and the amplified sound of the LT1 from the cowl with the intake she almost talks to me now. Hahaha I knwo i'm phyco but **** it, im happy. I took it easy on the way there letting her feel the freeway again and she took to it very nicly. Got a lot of double takes. :nana:

On the way home i got the chance to break her in. The 210 was open for once so i took advantage. Let Epic feel some RPMs and the feel of the convertible is so nice. God i missed the feel of the wind in whats left of my hair. But as i got Epic off the 210 on the interchage to the 605 is when my day started to go really good!

As i merged onto the 605 i came side by side with (as far as i could tell) an honest to goodness Black R34 Skyline, drivin by one hot asian chick. Loud as hell and right hand drive. I couldnt' believe my eyes (I think now is a good time to restate, i do actually like the skylines, just never seen one in real life). Her and I played with each other for the length of the 605, not very fast but it was great. Her and I made eye contact with smiles a few times too. Hehehehe I thought about following her to her offramp but i wanted to get Epic home. What would i want with some import ***** anyway? J/K

But yah, today was a good day. Only hit over 100 MPH once. :nana:

Congrats!

its impossible to have an R34 skyline in the united states without conforming to all the rules and safety rules that american cars have, i.e. making it left hand drive and such. It could have been, and probably was an R32, reason being... the car has to be 15 years old to be registerd here without making all the safety changes.

MeenZ28 04-12-2005 10:43 PM

Look, just saying what i saw, like i said - to the best i could tell since i have never seen one in person it looked like the real deal. I knew that there would be at least one a$$ hat here that would object to the Skyline part. :banghead: Besides, wether it was an R32 with a full R34 body conversion or a true R34 here illigally... i can be sure that she was hot, and thats all that matters.

Dcalado_ 04-12-2005 10:57 PM

yes, they are hot... and i wasnt trying to be an a$$ hat about it either i was just stating an opinion sry if it came off as rude

there is a guy down the road from me with a right hand drive integra that is a show car but he drives it all the time locally. i can give u links to prove it if u need em.

congrats grant.

Dcalado_ 04-12-2005 11:24 PM

what year is it? im not saying u cant import them, you can you just cant get them registerd unless they are 15 years old to the month. you can still have them for off-road purpose's i.e. a car just for drag

Camarocam 04-12-2005 11:24 PM

Thats good to hear!! :) glad you got her running again and looking awesome! keep up the hard work! :)

aarontracy 04-12-2005 11:28 PM

Ok first off they don't have to be left hand drive, beacuse i know a kid up here with an gts-t that is right hand. And as far as people importing them people do it all the time they just have to make the correct modifications to it, or buy it from someone who has already done it. Trust me on this.

By the way i went up to an all nissan meet about a month ago, guess how many skylines i saw up there???

Look at the 510 with the rb25det in it.
