transfering ownership question

is it possible to hand over the ownership from one family member to another?

is there any fees or requirements needed?
thanks!

I believe that there is no charge if it is a direct family member, ie: Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother. Your best bet would be to contact the ministry of transportation.

Yeah hes right. No fee. As long you live in the same house. Dont quote me on that but im pretty sure.

There is no fees , you just have to fill out a form calling it a gift.
and you dont pay any tax on the car at all. you will just have to get your own plates for the car. thats all

You don't need a safety and e-test as you are allowed to give a vehicle as a one-time gift to a family memeber. Go to the ministry and get the paperwork done and you dont need to worry about any of the hassles that normally go with changing the ownership.
