update project hell Progess

So im bored so ill inform you on my progess with my car... i have everything off that needed to come off for the new tranny... It was saposed to be there to pick up on thursday but the guy i bought it blew a piston rod out while he was drivin to the drop off point with it to be shipped he send me pics of the truck/damage and the tranny in the back of the truck from the side of the road right after it happened so i didnt give him a hard time about it.. next week it should be in along with my stall converter, mti power induction lid and the hochiks strut brace.. Im in no rush really now because the last cruise of the year was today and i missed it so im gunna take my time and do everything slow to make sure its right.. one thing that is pissin me off is the u-joints i got the front one out by heating it up, but the back one that goes into the rear wont come out for **** i tryed everything... beating it heating it etc. im going to take another wack at it tomarrow

I cant wait to get this over with this so i could drive it for atlest a month or so until the bad weather starts then im puttin it away in the garage for the winter and plan on throwin gears, a cam and maybe a ls6 intake if i could get ahold of one... and a few other tricks here and there as the money comes

use a vise and 2 big sockets(one to do teh pressing, the other to act as a cup for teh yoke) to press the u joint out, beating it out just weakens the welds and bends stuff (not to mention the pain in the shoulder)

Maybe so, but it just feels so good to beat the living piss out of something when its not cooperating..esp. when the a cam doesn't want to go in, nothing works better than a 20lb sledge to get those last lobes in.. :D :D

Maybe if you still have them when i plan on doin it i will hit you up for them.. i didnt touch anything with my car today, it was me and the girlfriends 1 year aniversary. I feel like a **** because i bought her a necklace for close to 300 dollars and she made me a photo album of everything that happened since we started going out like pictures from cruises and pics of me from football games, prom, dances, and me gettin my old red firebird stuck in a graveyard (long story lol).. etc etc a lot of different stuff. and wrote under each picture what was goin on at the time and all... im not going to lie it brought a tear to my eye lookin through it at everything and the 2 page note she wrote to me at the end... it took her atleast a few weeks to make that and i feel bad that i just got her a necklace, its nice but her's is a lot more sentimental... anyway... but this girls a keeper for sure...

paarman97maro 09-20-2005 01:40 PM

Sounds like a great girl... now if only I could find someone who cared like that

Bernotas05 09-20-2005 09:14 PM

Yea shes a keeper... still didnt touch my car today i worked 7am-9pm over time baby :) more mod money...

Bernotas05 09-24-2005 02:25 AM

I'm bored...

I talked to the guy on the phone today about my tranny and he said he is going to try rent a truck to get it to the shipping point or if all else fails he said he will try to get it in his camaro somehow to drop it off (i duno lol) either way hes a nice guy and im not in a hurry because hes havin some hard times and the engine in his truck blew a rod so i sort of feel bad for him but im still gettin a little impatient....

anyway....ok so today i got a nice paycheck for once.. plus i might be getting a raise because i have had the highest CA in my store in sales for the past 4 months. ( CA is the average sale, like my average is a $25.03 each customer, my goal for this week in the computer was a 19.40 so i blew that out of the water) anyway so more money will be coming in for mods i want to get as much done to my car by spring as posible because im moving out on my own in the spring so money will be tight then...

Ok... im sure noone cares about that so lets get on to the car...

I got my hocthiks strut tower brace in yesterday, i installed it right away and it looks pretty ****** sweet.. to bad i cant drive my car to see if it really helps the handleing and what not..

My mti power induction lid i ordered should be in tomarrow ill have pics of the engine bay as soon as i get that installed...

And.. And.. I am currently the high bidder on a slp loudmouth exhaust its used but i dont care its from a reputable seller.. sure beats paying 500 or whatever for a new slp cat-back, my neighbor/brother in law has a 00' ss with the same flowmaster exhaust i have and i want to show him up with the loudness part, i was never really happy with the way my flowmaster sounded anyway. i want it louder, so i hope i win it.
