Vintage Car Insurance
My insurance company doesn't insure vehicles older then 20 years old. So I have this nice near mint condition 21 year old car that I can't drive unless I find insurance for it. I've called like 5 different places, some of which were brokers, and even they can't help me for the same reason. I'm not old enough to insure my car under that "Silver Wheels" insurance policy, and even then it wouldn't cover me because the car will be driven daily.
Who do you guys insure your older cars with? Thanks. |

I use silver wheels with Lant & Co, but thats under the silver wheel plan you cant be on
http://www.lant-ins.ca/ But since your not old enough for that plan; Whetter, Oaklin Insurance. They are not like Lant and only deal with the silver wheel plan; but they do regular insurance also but your better off with a regular insurance plan. http://www.whetteroaklininsurance.com/ you're in the same boat as me, well not anymore im passed that, but as of now untill your 25 your ed if you want proper insurance on a classic/hot rod. For example... a while back when i got my first car a 1973 Super Beetle, no one would insure me as it was listed as a special interest automobile. And if they did accept to insure me they wanted on average $12,000 for the year. At the time that was half my salary, so the car sits and sits... lol its still sitting in the same spot 8 years later..... poor thing, im never going to get rid of it. |
