Viper could get the axe??
yes it is..
the viper sells horrible, and hasn't gotten the attention they need to make it viable
yea I dont really care for it anyways...
Dodge is in alot of trouble anyways |
I hope they don't kill it, the Viper is my realistic dream car.
Yea the viper is dope but yea I could see them giving it the axe for its low sales. They never even try to promote it like they do on all thier other comercials for the trucks and cars.
well you see, Cerberus- The new Owner is a 3 Headed Demon Dog from the Underworld who has decided to butcher Chrystler and drop the Dodge Magnum, Chrysler Crossfire, and Pacifica into the depts of hell...and now can drop the Viper in a heartbeat if they feel funding is needed somewhere else...they are bringing back the sebring and remodeling the 300c... The Interiors on these cars were just pure crap as consumers have said, and they feel that these new innovations will help chrystler...but I really dont care... so hahaha sucks for them, it was so bad Mercedes dropped them.

they are retooling for a quick profitable sale
i dont know if you guys know, but chrysler was recently sold from daimler-benz to a private company cerberus. what theyre doing is kinda like what arch said. theyre getting rid of cars they dont need so that they can simplify the brand. not so much to make a quick profit but to better compete with whats out there. they have platforms, like one compact, mid-size, full size, crossover, suv, van, light truck and truck. thats what most companies have and thats what chrysler is shooting for now.
another thing you might not know is the new vice president is a former toyota marketing executive. you guys know how well toyota has been selling. theyre coming out with a crossover later in the year and soon there will be a hybrid. theyre axing the magnum because theres already a full size dodge - the charger (personally between the 3 different LXs i like the magnum the best). i believe the nitro is looking to be cut and the durango might be either cut or revamped. the viper probably wont be cut. some might think so because of the challenger, but thats only really in the same platform as a base vette. chrysler needs something to take on the ZR1 and whatever ford puts out when they get their thumb outta their ass. i dont see how this changover is a bad thing, be it daimler-benz "dropping" them or cerberus seeking domination, its going to be good. but dont quote me on any of this, we just get a lotta rumors at work, thats all. |
"no longer can deliver the desired halo effect" and i dont know why they want to focus more attention to the JS line. thats the stupidest line. especially now that the caliber is so much bigger its almost the same size as an avenger. same puny engine too (except the r/t) |
i want a viper. still my dream car.
I think they'd be stupid to drop it.
Suck to see it go, but I could care less I never really liked them.
I guess that's what happens when a buyout happens and the new owners care about the bottom line and absolutly nothing else. They weren't there to help design it so they don't have any emotional attachment to it and let's be honest. I'm sure the new owners all drive Benz's and other German cars anyways.
the viper was my first favorite car when i was growing up, would be sad to see it die.
