What do you have?

I Have 65 series tires.. They are like super narrow and getting bald after 2yrs.

Time for some new ones, I have the 15X7 Rims, So What do you guys have for tires? Throw up some pics with a size or whatever, and rate them..

Thanks, Nick Hall

I have firehawk zr50's, they are getting a little bit old, they dont make them for 16's anymore, its funny, I have 1 fresh brand new tire for a spare that I have never used. If I get 17's I can pick up the firehawk tires again, they still work great, they have lasted since about 2001 I believe.

35 275s, and 40 245s (18s)... Falken Fk 452.. I like em so far... have had them for a couple weeks. Not so great for a smooth ride, but they hook well, and look sweet.

even with my 16's the ride is pretty rough...yea I dont think I will ever go past 17's.

first, 65 series has nothing to do with the narrowness. second, what size do you have now? i can give you a size that is wider yet still has the same overall height.

btw, this is in the wrong forum.

i got all mismatch haha i still gotta get my firehawks or w/e they are called switched over to my new rims. they are 215-65-15 and spin like crazy

I have, 215/65/15's and i have 215/60/15 Drag radials for the track, they are a bit wider... So i figured the lower the number the wider the surface..

blue89vert 04-02-2007 09:42 PM

215 and 215 should be the same width... a 65 is a taller tire compared to a 60. not sure what your saying nick

96camaro 04-02-2007 09:46 PM

I have 245/40 18 front and 275/35 18 rear. Toyo Proxes T1R all around, best tires I've ever had.

98CamaroZ28 04-02-2007 09:50 PM

i have 245/50's all the way around

the only reason your DR's would be wider is because the manufacture might make them that way, however technically, a 215 tire will be the same width as any other tire. that is strictly a measurement in millimiters of how wide the tire is.the second number is an aspect ratio of the height going by the wideness of the tire, which can be seen when you realize that a 315-35-17 has almost the same size sidewall as a 275-40-17. since the 275 is skinnier, it has a higher aspect ratio to reach the same height as the 315 in the sidewall.

i have 275-40-17s in front on 9.5" wheels and 315-35-17s in back on 9.5" wheels. technically this is wrong and not safe, however Nittos run smaller so my 315 nittos arent nearly as wide as most other 315 tires(an example where the manufacturer makes them that way like i first explained about nicks tires)
