Whats your worst infraction?-caught or not

Readin that topic about how we drive our cars got me wondering-

What is your worst traffic infraction that you have commited while driving the streets? I know pretty much everyone here has speed before, and I'm not looking for "Well one time I was going 40 in a 35" type stuff. I mean serious stuff you probably should have gone to jail for..:D

I'll start- its a toss up

1.)Street racin a souped-up Civic, went 110 in a 35, even had people on each of the street to make sure nobody would end up in our way. The worse part was I was on a "restricted use" license which meant I shouldn't even have been driving then. Oh yeah, of course I won the race..

2.)Racin a friends 03 Cobra on the highway, I was slowly pullin on him until I let off at 145mph..I figured that was fast enough, esp since our exit was comin up...

I'm not saying I condone street racing :p , just wondering what everyone else's stories are-

Mike Jones 08-27-2006 02:26 PM

I'm really good on the street and as such I have a sqeakly clean record.

BUT....
Right after I bought my LS1 my wife's grandmother died in KY. We went down for the funeral and decided to get away one night so we went out and while on the empty interstate I got up to 135mph. That's the only time I've taken my car over 100mph on the street.

97' Z28 show project 08-27-2006 02:30 PM

160 on a highway racing some mustang

Sinister95Z 08-27-2006 05:17 PM

I've actually ran from the cops before. After getting clocked running 100+ in a 45, I decided to shut off all the lights and make good use of the backroads around here. I have lived here all my life, and I got away with it....so I guess I know them pretty good.

97z2801ss 08-27-2006 06:11 PM

wow
I had to take a friend to a Team party for her basketball team at a resturant. Freeway 145mph ttops off.... only time ive done nething that crazy in one of the carssss

haha, you BA! :D

One time I was messing around with some beretta or some **** on the way back home with Adric... I dunno, 115 or somthing but we did it several times along the way. This wasnt an interstate either, it was some 2 lane highway. Here in MN, if you get caught going over 100 they revoke your license for 6 months on the spot.

The worst offense I got caught for was street racing. Some POS I shouldnt even have bothered. I was going like 60 in a 25, he pulled us both over and he gave me an unessessary acceleration ticket, cop was pretty nice.

Ive cleaned up my act since... Despite being pulled over 3-4 times this year, this upcoming weekend will be 1 year with no tickets :D.

69z-28 08-27-2006 07:58 PM

when i crashed my camaro, i was goin 135 in a 35.

my only ticket ive ever gotten was spring break in my T/A, 71 locked on at(clocked at 86 tho) in a 40 mph. court and 8 hours of school.

have frequently played on the highway testing the cars "pull", go from like 60-110 and shut down.

aarontracy 08-27-2006 08:15 PM

one time i was on my way home about 4a.m. and in my home town there is a major chemical plant that is very highly protected since 9/11 (like army tanks and ****) well i was coming up on the main intersection leading up to the plant. across the street in a field i saw two of the patrol vehicles so i did a complete stop at the light and went and as soon as i took off both vehicles turned on their blue lights. these guys probably couldnt give me a ticket but could have held me until a real officer came to give me one. so ne'ways my cousin has been training or w/e to become a officer and he had just been telling me a few days earlier about working midnights doing ride-alongs. so i pulled over and sat there for a second and the vehicles just sat there. i got the bright idea thinking that it was my cousin just messing with me since i had done nothing wrong. so i started to do a burnout which turned out not to be the best idea. as soon as i started to do a burnout both vehicles came flying across the field after me and kinda scared me so i took off. neways i was really stupid for doing it and dont plan on doing it again. but i did get away even thought when i got inside my house they pulled up like a minute later spotlighting my house and car.

ITSA6 08-28-2006 12:06 AM

i did 115 on the interstate and yesterday went 60 in a 35 chasing after an ***hole who cut in front of me (eclipse) and passed a cop...BUT didn't get caught:confused:

Mikerock 08-28-2006 02:01 AM

98 in a 55, 300 dollar ticket.

Using a 2 meter radio to mess with people on the taco bell drive through across the street in my car.

Stealing about 14 ceramic giant pots and throwing them out of my window at mailboxes going 50 miles an hour.

man, it was good to be 16.

MeenZ28 08-28-2006 02:11 AM

4 years ago, out to an SLP meet in Vegas, chasing a buddy of mine in his SOM Firehawk on Interstate 5 in and out of traffic going about 135 mph with the top down. The adreniline of knowing that one wrong move would have killed me... good times, good times.

rice burner 08-28-2006 08:21 AM

well
1. I was driving my car down this drag strip by my house and i wanted to try something a little crazy. So i was doing about 80 down this 2 lane road and I pulled the emergency brake just to make the car turn sideways u know (drifting)lol..anyways i end up making a big mistake and slid the car in a ditch then it flipped it over!

Adric 08-28-2006 12:12 PM

I went 60 in a 25 but it was a road nooone is ever on. Thats about as illegal as I got.

Amurican_Muscle 08-28-2006 06:26 PM

Oh man ... Havn't got caught yet, but sometimes I just have to let my new Z loose. For example, YESTERDAY, took my roomate for what I call a "cruise". There is this extremely beautiful windey road that leads down into a canyon to the Snake River. Well, long story short, it was dumb but fun, I was doing 80-110 along this gorgeous perfect camaro road. I've never seen a cop there so I figured as long as I don't make a habbit out of it I'm okay. :) MAN it was fun though. I had my roomate gripping the car seat and dash for his dear life. My suspension does very well around those corners too!

I'm finding out how nicely my new car pulls in every gear. ;) Anyway, normally I don't speed so rediculously fast on a windey road. But once and awhile is okay. :D Nor do I condone street racing.

SOMBirdV6 08-28-2006 06:52 PM

Street racing on the interstate after indoor soccer game (was like after 11pm on a sunday night)

blue89vert 08-28-2006 07:29 PM

Driving with no liscense or permit..on the highway at 3 AM going about 120. Good times good times. Street raced my brother in law two times up to about 70 in a 25 zone. raced an WRX same road up to about 40. ahh i miss driving my car

Mikerock 08-28-2006 07:55 PM

parr, we used radio equpiment and a freq finder to "hack" into the drive through speakers and mess with the people ordering. we could hear both taco bell employee and customer, and we could talk to both but they didn't know where we were and it was great. we did it at wendys and some guy wanted to fight us.

mxracerbrian 08-28-2006 08:32 PM

ive been pulled over too many times. only one ticket outta them tho, runnin a red.

Actually more than likely he did see you and had you, a lot more pd's these days are gettin away from high speed pursuits involving bikes for a couple reasons-
1.) Too much of a liabilty for the PD
2.) Way too dangerous to try and catch a bike thats runnin- esp at those speeds
3.) They figure they can catch you the day you wad the bike up, easy to catch someone when the bike is in pieces
4.) And finally, let be honest- your average police cruiser is not going to catch your average bike, let alone a crotch bike- if we had the new Impala's w/SBC it would help, but not its not going to happen w/ 3800 series...

yeah i think your right man. i hear of this happening a lot with my biker friends.

regardless, i NEED to start slowing down. im getting way to stupid on my bike at times and i know it. its just so hard...... i guess i just need a ticket to settle me down or something. who knows

MyFirstCamaro 08-28-2006 09:46 PM

1. got pulled over for doing 84 in a 55....in my gf's car though and out of state so points have yet to catch up to me and 211 ticket though. I was more concrened with seeing the supra again that i was riding along with, thats hwy i was going 84.

2. 115 in a 55 ( thruway) still ahve yet to get caught only did it a few times ...... when it stops at that is that the rev limiter? because i'm not redlining i looked at that when i first tried it

69z-28 08-28-2006 09:58 PM

yea your car prolly has a speed limiter at 115 or so. get it tuned out when u get bigger mods or dont go so fast.lol

thats way smarter then during the day! at night you can see cars and their every move by their lights. besides the freeway is empty. how is that dumber that during the day with so many more cars and cops? besides, way easier to get away if/when it comes to that. what more to worry about at night then day? deer? if you hit a dear going 65 or 145, not gonna make a diference..... spat dead.
