Do you know how to use a chop saw?

Canadian tire sells 2.5" aluminized steel mandrel U-bends, $25 each. It is a keystone order, done by walker exhaust or dynomax. I have a part number for it if you want it, but I will have to go look for it, other wise the parts guy won't know what the hell you are talking about. PM me if you want the #

Each u-bend = 2X90* or 4X45* plus plenty straight section.

I made my IC pipes using 5 of the u-bends, and I had LOTS leftover. Mine are painted semi-gloss black.

Though Fred is right, i would start by calling all our sponsors and see if they can assist you. :veryhappy

^ and on top of that if you dont want to much hastle then just go and get all the bends you need, because to make a nice smooth bend will require atlest 4+ cut pieces of pipe that youll haev to weld after, so basically if you ahve the money and dont want the headache, get them from the sponsors of who ever, but if your budjet is low and you like to do it yourself, do what i did.

but keep in mind that to weld the pipes will cost you atleast 200 bucks (aluminum)

mr.mitsu 12-19-2005 07:27 PM

ice-where did you get your "budget" pipes?

I wouldnt suggest doing what he is doing unless you make each bend out of 10+ angled sections of the straight piping, otherwise air flow will be effected.

More sections = smoother bend

It is just not worth the extra money and time it takes to weld all the straight pieces to make a smooth bend, just buy pre-bent mandrel sections. Not to mention the increased number of areas there will be for pinhole boost leaks.

true true...never thought of it that way

heh, word s quick about that place.

The Truck Exhaust Place/shop.

Dixie and Trinity rd. Right near Dixie and Britannia.

Going north on dixie, it is I THINK your 3rd right after the 401.

2TONE_93GT 12-21-2005 06:35 PM

i found they were very overpriced..specially for vband clamps :nono:

err, i beleive it was near shawson and dixie, west side tho.

SuprAdam 12-21-2005 07:22 PM

it is east of dixie.

But yea v-bands are rediculous priced there, I bought mine on ebay, $30. I need to upgrade to the new quick release ones though.
