Who says front drivers can't be quick

from my GP board, yes it's 1/4 mile, and he has more power in it, but not enough traction

here's a copy of his post
After four straight rainouts and with the season winding down, I decided to head out to Milan Dragway for some test/tune today. Bridgett went out there with me to be the pit crew/camera person combined. The weather was decent considering the time of year. Sunny skies and 52 degree temps make some nice racing weather. The wind was strong(20+ mph), but mostly coming across the track. At times it was a headwind, but usually closer to a crosswind. For the first pass with the new 28" drag slicks, I set the boost controller at 25 psi. The sixty foot was 1.4348 and the pass was 9.3601 seconds at 150.52 mph, setting new records for all three! There was some tirespin towards the beginning of the pass, but not too bad.
The second pass was supposed to be run at 28 psi, but I forgot to switch the boost setting after the burnout and ran the pass at 24 psi accidentally. This pass had a sixty foot of 1.4479 and the ET was 9.3270 seconds at 149.01 mph, setting another ET record.

Having run a 9.32 at only 24 psi, we knew that the car was dialed in perfectly and we were excited about the possibility of making huge ground in ET reduction. Unfortunately the track/tire combo had other ideas. At 28 psi, it blew the tires off, so we tried again at 27 psi and had the same results. On this pass, I coasted for a couple seconds and then got back in the throttle, running a 11.28 at 148 mph. With 109 mph at the 1/8th mile and gaining 39 mph in the back half, I think this shows the true power the car can put down at 27 psi. Here's a short vid of the launch-

It's tough to say whether the tires are inadequate or the track was just poor, but I think it was a combination of the two. Regardless, when the track will only hold 24 psi, we're not going 8s.
