Flowmaster's sound like hallow truck exhausts. Plus they are known for having about the worste flowing muffler's on the market.

I agree... I did a lot of debating about the two before I came up with what I wanted, and Magnaflow is better flow, and I like how it sounds

Ill be asking everyones opinion on some things when I get closer to getting it.

Meissen, I didnt realize that you had Magnaflow... Do you have any clips of it, or anything; and what size piping is yours? Also, I dont think you do, but do you have headers as well? Any suggestions of which ones would sound good with a Magnaflow?

camaro94 11-23-2005 12:45 AM

yeah, stick with the Magnaflow

1. I really need to get a clip of my car with the Pacesetter/Flowmaster hybrid system on here next spring, so I can shut all of you up already.
2. The muffler should be the least of one's concern in an exhaust system if you're concerned with flow. The intermediate piping is what makes the true impact.

exactly, there is a reason that flowmaster sells to many race teams, tehy work well, and cost is good

Splatter paint the trunk.....and I already did it before I parked it.I guess I'm done.

D'oh, sorry wasn't paying attention to this thread. I do infact have two clips, let me find them.

The sound is a little off on the second one, as you can tell from the camera quality, the entire camera isn't really that great, but I'd say it's not too far off, just a little deeper than it sounds in the video.

An exhaust setup on a 3.4l will sound differnt on a 3.8l. Jeremy has a flowmaster and he sent me vid and it sounded WAY better then what my old flowmaster did.

anyone else been thinking about head & cam package? ive seen some impressive numbers out of the lloyd elliot phase1 head/cam package. a guy posted 403hp w/minor boltons and tune with that package. not bad for $1100

anyways my next 'mod' for the camaro is a car cover. the s10 is about to be reawakend!

Was that RWHP? I hope so because gettin 400 flywheel is pretty easy with the LT1's. Even a minor cam and decent heads will get you that...

My winter plans are simple-

1.)Block to machine shop...(done) :D :D
2.)Different pulley for charger..
3.)A whole bunch of other stuff associated with #1 and #2...

rice burner 11-26-2005 12:05 AM

i will be trying to get a sponsor to help pay for some of this.Im already got the car in the garage ....taking apart the motor so my plans for this winter are as followed this car is goin to be a drag/cruisin/rice burner

1- 396 lt1 estimated hp should be 600-750hp
2-twin turbo with methanol injection(turbontics t040e-60-1 turbos)u might be thinkin why not supercharger..well because everybody has 1 and its gettin to be a common thing
3-true dual exhuast with high flow cats and no muffler
4-intrax springs,adj panhard rod,control arms,qa1 shocks,strut tower bar,and some other things.
5-centerforce stage 3 clutch,lightweight flywheel,posi,maybe 3.73 gear
6-sounds--recently installed 10disc cd changer,This wont be done this winter but 2 12 inch subs 2 amps and a component system
7-gauges- autometer sport compact boost gauge, and fuel pressure, and a borg warner shift/tachometer gauge. these will be mounted on the dash on the right side of the ac controls
8-exterior either a 4 inch cowl hood or harwood ram air hood, in the future rksport bodykit and a black paint job
9-fuel system --possibly a aeromotive fuel system----brakes-crossed drilled slotted rotors, brake lines and pads
