Chad I do hope you were joking...there is a big difference-

There aren't plans as of yet for the tubular k-member. The wallet is only so thick at one time-and after getting the motor done, rear end, fuel system and other stuff its getting pretty thin at this point!!

Eventually though I would like to do it- free up some room and weight. It will definetely help free up some room should I go the turbo route..so we shall see what happens..

except gm doesn't use a bolt designation (last one they did was the 70's 10 and 12 bolt) now they use inches like everyone else (there are even some 12 bolts with 10 bolt covers floating around so the cover bolt number is a myth I learned that researching an olds)

Yes I'm joking there's not a single person that would try to run with a nine bolt on slicks.

I talked to a guy about putting 3.23 or a 3.42 gear in my car and he said that one time somebody brought in a 3rd gen and when he got under it and saw it was a 9 bolt he flipped out and didn't know what to do. He couldn't find any parts for it and said that it was from australia or something...is this true?

niceroc 04-12-2006 08:05 PM

yea... it tajkes a while to find parts... gotta find em used mostly, they are from australia
