1st post here!
What's up everyone? I'm Corey, I just stumbled upon this site while looking at stuff on fullthrottlev6.com (someone had a link that went here). Anyway, I drive a 1999 Chevy Camaro V6 5 speed.
Appearence wise, the mods are: black halo headlights, fog lights, RS emblems, white faced reverse glow gauges, billet grille, paint behind billet grille black, clear corners, paint rear camaro letters black, black z06 rims, SS spoiler (not installed yet). Performance mods: K&N Filter, SLP Loudmouth (dual/dual), Whisper Lid, MSD wires, Aluminum Driveshaft, LSD w/4.10 gears (to be installed), Pacesetter headers, Magnaflow 3" Hi Flow Cat, Hypertech 160' thermostat, Hacked under airbox and removed splash guard (improved airflow to lid ;)), Smooth intake bellow, Drilled/slotted brake rotors, Lakewood LCAs. And here are some pics of my car :D http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...6_101_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...36_89_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...36_90_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...36_92_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...36_91_full.jpg |
Welcome to ProjectCamaro.com.
I LOVE your wheels and I'm sure your car sounds good with the headers and LM exhaust. What kind of plans do you have for it other than installing the 4.10's. |
After the 4.10s will be a clutch because mine is, well, lets just say it likes to slip. I think I'm going with the Centerforce dual friction clutch. I love how my exhaust sounds but my parents don't (yeah I still live at home. 18 and in college, it's alot cheaper living at home). So they are making me get rid of the loudmouth :( So I got edelbrock but the I pipe is weird. It starts of as either 2.25" or 2.5" and doesn't go to 3" until just before the overaxle pipe. I'm just gonna chop that part off and throw a 3" pipe in there. I heart the 3" exhaust :)
Thanks for the compliment on the wheels, I love em too. Got a bit of wheel gap now though. But I want to get the gears and clutch out of the way before worrying about stuff like that. |
4.10's seem a little steep for a V6 but when I installed gears on my '94 Camaro I loved the difference they made, the car really jumped off the line.
Sorry to hear about the exhaust, my parent's didn't care for my LM on my '94 either but they never made me get rid of it and then I moved out so it didn't matter anymore. |
I know the 4.10s seem steep but I NEVER drive on the highway and I LOOOOOOVE jumping off the line. A friend of mine has them on his auto v6 stang and they seem like so much fun plus i have an extra gear over him so I'm not worried about the gas mileage thing.
