Hey There!

Hello fellow Camaro junkies! I am very proud of my first car, a 1995 with a 3.4 in it. I know it's not a v8, but my parents wouldn't pay insurance for a v8! So I'm stuck with the 6, which I'm perfectly happy with! I have wanted a Camaro for years, and I got one before I even turned 15! Yes, I am 15, and I do drive the car occasionally, and can get around under the hood...

I'm Zac, if you care, and if you don't care, you call me something else. I have been floating around here for a while, so I joined, then didn't post, so I figured I'd go ahead and introduce myself. I live in Central PA, right by Penn State...

So far the car is almost stock. My dad and I put the Flowmaster cat back (80 series) on it, after Christmas. And yes, I love how it sounds! The car has 135k on it, which is why we are swapping another 3.4 in it, this engine has 52k on it... The old engine also had very low oil pressure (at 0 until you revved). Before we knew we were putting another engine in it, we did head gaskets and replaced a collapsed lifter. The body is in relatively good condition. Swirl scratches and such normal with an older car. It's red and it has t-tops!

I probably won't be posting too many questions, because my dad is quite skilled in that area, so I'm hoping I might be able to help, or just learn more about the best car ever made!

Oh ya, happy valentines day for those of you who are whipped enough in your relationship to remember, or care!

Welcome to the site man, I started out with a v6 also. I had a lot of fun with it and learned a lot from it.

I am from PA also well used to be but I am in the military, How are you making out with that thing out there? I was a sitting duck in the winters out there, After the first year of owning a f-body it sat in the garage every winter after that.

First95 02-14-2008 06:44 PM

It's under the knife right now with the engine swap, so no winter driving this year. But I don't like driving with the salt on the roads out here.

So what branch of the military are you in? My dad is retired Air Force, so I got to experience military life for until I was 8 or 9. I lived in California, Nebraska, and Delaware... New place every four years... Now we are here for family, and eventually college.

Yea I remember that even if the roads were snow free it was still horible in my formula with all the damn salt PennDot dumps down. It makes it just as slick.

I'm an Army MP.

First95 02-14-2008 06:51 PM

Yeah, they put WAY too much salt down, makes you lose traction, it's terrible! Glad to see what tax dollars pay for!

Thanks for your service! I'd give you crap for being Army, but we all fight the same fight, right?
