I am the new chick in here!

Hi all, I am the new chick up in here and I am sure there aint much women in here. I am in the process of getting my first car and I am not sure what to get, my mind is all over the place:confused: any ideas? I know for sure I don't want a domestic. I need something affodable and reliable at the same time...Take care and I do hope to hear from you..

Affordable and reliable = Honda

But if you want to be original and reliable, yet a little pricy if you dont know where to go, then get a VW:)

Anything domestic and its headin straight to the junk yard

Welcome....I'd steer away from V-dubs....Unless you enjoy changing light bulbs, everyone I know thats ever owned a vw regrets it. For imports I'd say your pretty safe with a Honda, or a Toyota. Even some of the newer Mazdas are nice cars.

you'd be safe in a mini van

it's about being

Fast, Reliable ( WARRANTY ), New/Unique (something you dont see often)

I know my car fit's in all :smokin: nd no it's not going to the junkyard, it's going right back to gm goodwrench.

Sure it costs more then ur avg. Honda or VW but IMO its worth it, esp. when I make decent money.

Mainly it's for peice of mind, because even though I know I can fix it, I'd rather have someone do it for me then waste my own time :P

Agreed.

Forget warranty. The wife had a Tiburon, that thing was falling apart every month. Thankfully she bought it new with warranty. After everything was replaced, the car was alright, but it was well over 12 visits to the dealer to have it resolved.

I like Honda. My prelude was the first i've ever bought and its been a great car to me.

haha not ALL domestics are junk.
I say Honda and what model depends on how rich you are.

judgez24 02-20-2008 01:08 PM

yup, id avoid lower end hondas as theyre just junk grocery getters, but you get a nice acura, like a nice acura tl and your all set, i actually really like those cars, and after you option the off them your looking at either a car or half a payment on a house, lol

2TONE_93GT 02-20-2008 01:19 PM

He said affordable and reliable at the same time. There is no such thing in the Domestic universe.

RonBurgundy 02-23-2008 12:33 PM

jap cars are nice until you have to buy parts for them. In the long-run neither a japanese nor a domestic car is more expensive to own. No car is meant to run forever problem free or else car mfg's wouldnt still be in business today.

And yes I have owned both.
