Long time member/partially converted to the darkside
Hey guys,
I've been on this site for quite some time, but have never owned an F-body.......Until now. LOL. I don't know if you guys remember slpowerz's car, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v643/ljinx23/z282.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v643/ljinx23/z283.jpg but guess who is to be the new owner. That's right. ME.:D It's a 6 speed car....pretty stock only mods are; Stainless Works ORY dual Magnaflow converters SLP LM catback TB bypass K&N cold air intake Jet stage one chip Granatelli MAF and fuel pump I have a zex dry kit on it's way that i'm going to jet for a 75 shot. Put some drag radials on it and have some fun. It will be my track ho. LOL Gets parked next to my stangs http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...braCCW9021.jpg Any Idea what to expect of this car with the above mods and a little spray? Also thinking of doing a cam on the car as well..... Thoughts, questions, concerns....HAHA Thanks in advance guys, Lenny |
330-350rwhp with a wet shot, 350-360 dry shot. As per times, it depends on your nitrous kit, and you as a driver. Probally mid-low 13's.

If this car makes 350whp....It should run mid 12s without a problem. Are we talking just the shot, or the shot and cam?

You're going to spin like hell, especially if you dont have a progressive nitrous controller. Hence why I said mid to low 13's. |
I remember the car. Made some sigs for him. Congrats on the new purchase.

cool man.. nice to hear from you.
|
thanks man....I'm excited to have this as my new daily driver. I have the 07 ranger for bad weather, the Z as my nice weather daily, and the cobras for the weekend street warriors.....Now I can get rid of my sunfire...YEAH!

welcome to the dark side! Yea the Camaro should be a fun strip car!
|
how do the rear ends hold up on these cars??? Thinking of just throwing a set of 4.10s in it and hoping it holds, but what kind of limitations do they have when pushed??

the rear end holds up fine for a mild build up on the motor, I would upgrade it when your going past 400whp.
|
the rear end is the weakest link on these cars
|
nice addition to your collection. should be alot of fun.
|
I understand it took so long for a boy like you to step up and become a man and own a Camaro...lol jp Looking good.

Personally, i'd just throw some 4.10's in there and see how it does. What have you got to loose? You'd be buying another rear end anyway lol. |
