1998 Honda Accord Transmission Recall?
 

Hello,My husband has a 1998 Honda Accord with less than 100k miles. The transmission went out and it is insane what they're asking to replace it. We've heard that a lot of people have had similar problems with the transmissions of this model. Does anyone know if Honda will fix it? A couple of years ago, my husband received a letter saying something about the transmission so he took it to a dealer and had it "fixed". What can we do to get Honda to fix it? Any other suggestions besides replacing the car will be helpful also.Thanks!I said LESS than 100K and he's had all the required maintenance done to it.

I actually just read about people getting free replacements on trans. for Accords with certain mileage on a google search. Try that.

I am ahonda tech.. The deal goes like this. The transmission is under warenty but the labor is not. it will take 6 hrs of labor thats 89.95x6. thats all you need to know. I also bet your accord is a v6
