I've never looked at the 3 brake light system but past experience shows that there is only brake light fuse.

I suspect that all three brake lights get the signal from the same wire - keep in mind that there is only one brake light switch. You may want to start there - If the brake light switch has more than two wires then it may be the culprit.

If the brake light switch has only 2 wires then you may have a bad light socket or if the 3rd light is an LED fixture it may have a broken wire.

I'd try tapping into the 3rd brake light wire and measure the voltage about 2 or 3 feet before the light fixture. (make sure you check the positive wire) If voltage is present when holding down the brake pedal then the fixture or light is bad.

If there is no voltage on the wire to the 3rd brake light when holding down the brake pedal then try rerouting the 3rd brake light wire by connecting it to one of the other brake light wires. Cut the wire and cap off the side that goes to the front of the car. Connect the end that goes to the 3rd brake light fixture in parallel with one of the other brake light wires.

Or you can try calling Auto Zone and ask if they have print that they will let you look at.

Good Luck.

i think theres one. but i found most of my light troubles were in the conections near the brake light where the plugs in the harnesses joined. when i slammed the turn hard it would put the brake light warning on in the dash. i would have to move the wires around in the plugs and restart it to get the light out. i took the plugs apart and bent the wires and plugs a bit and seemes to be fixed. the flasher can affect brake lights some times to so get one you know is good and try it if all else fails. also clean all grounds front and rear
