How do I increase the brake's stopping power of my 2000 Honda Accord?

I want to increase the brake's stopping power of my 2000 Honda Accord. Even though I have new brake pads from the dealer, it is not as powerful as the brakes of my BMW 325. What can I install to improve its stopping power?

Press harder on the brake pedal! That should improve your stopping power. Most brake pedals are pressure sensitive and the more pressure you apply, the more stopping power you have. I have a 1989 ford ranger and pressing harder on the brake pedal helped me a lot! Hope this helps

Larger stronger calipers and rotors

you can upgrade to a big brake kit. it will run you around 1K though. it will give you bigger rotors (wont heat up as fast), stronger calipers (more stopping power) and the kit will also probably come with braided stainless steel brake lines. this will prevent them from cracking and expanding as you ride hard and the brake fluid increases in temperature. then you can even take you car out to the local time attack track and give it a go! (and it'll help you stop when little kids run across the road).

get new rotors that are slotted and drilled and get some metallic brake pads. if your rear wheels uses drums you may want to do a disk conversion also.

Big Brake Kit has all the necessary hardwareLarger width tire (Traction)Better suspension.....Or you can go Flintstones and put a big hole where your floor mats use your feet as extra traction.Or have equip your car with an anchor..... throw it out when you want to stop quickly
