I have a '05 Honda Accord, and the speedometer shows it goes up to 160mph? Can it...

...really go that fast? If not even close, why show such a high number?FYI, car is a 166-hp, 2.4-liter, 16-Valve, 4-Cylinder

id say it wont, even if it would a stock engine couldnt go to that high of RPM before it would blow up, and it has the speed chip in it to not let it go that high of speed, and not to mention it probably has rev limiters.

They don,t build production cars of any kind that is stock that will do 160mph look it up.

Yes most likely. I would not push it though more than 1-2 minutes over 100 mph the car will overheat.

not a chance.speedometers are stock items and are fitted in a variety of cars and very few ,if any, can reach the indicated top speed. the best you could expect from a 2.4 liter is 125 to 130 mph.and then only in short bursts.
