...timingbelt? Honda recommends (10500 ml or 7yr) In terms of miles, I still have a long way to go. In terms of time, I guess I need to change my timing belt. What should I go by mileage or time? Should I go somewhere inbetween? Perhaps wait another year or so.

I think the mileage is more important. My car a Ford Escort goes for 90,000 miles. Is is making a noise?

If you bought it used, try asking previous owner about it. If you are unsure the least bit, its better to do it soon. If it breaks, you're looking at major engine repair (new pistons, cylinder valves and valve actuators sometimes even new head).































Timingbelts (aka cambelts) usually last 5-8 years and its best to get them changed in good time if you drive hard.

always stick to manufactures recommendations, it sounds like the time will be first, so get it changed at 7 years,(make sure that the water pump is changed at the same tme) after 7 years the belt becomes brittle and can break, after 105,000 miles it will just plain wear out and break. If it does break you are in for a hefty bill, the valves drop into the engine and really chew everything up!!! So be warned.
